Ken currently lives in
Twin Valley, Minn. with his wife Linda. Having taught school in Waubun for 30 years,
he retired in 2001, and started carving decoys in February 2002.
Bob Johnson, one of Ken's favorite carvers,
sparked his interest in carving when Bob gave him an old homemade knife and a roughly cut out song bird (which
by the way is not yet completed). From there he started working with Burt Hyatt
who has also been a great mentor and friend.
He currently carves 8 to 12 decoys a
year ranging in price from $30 to $800.
Ken has earned several awards for
his bird carvings.
